Children's Christmas Choir

St. Mary 11:30 Mass on Christmas day was filled with the angelic voices of our Children’s Christmas Choir. Fifty five children, age 5 to 14 years, raised their voices in praise. The Mass was also highlighted with the talents of many young people who did an outstanding job both as cantors and readers leading the prayers of the faithful.

Mary Pietro, music director said, “It was a wonderful experience for the children and a gift for everyone else to hear these “angel” voices.  It is heartwarming to see so many families start Christmas Day by going to church and celebrating Mass with other families.” She also added, “The infectious enthusiasm of the singing children spread though the church that day. Special ‘Thank You’ to all the parents who helped to encourage the participation, helped to keep the kids organized during the Mass, and did a wonderful job making this special Mass a joyous Christmas treat for all. Also, a special thank you to our adult musicians whose talents are so appreciated.

Father Dan invited the congregation’s children to join the choir children by the choir area. He delivered a special homily to the impressively large group of kids, and for all the congregation, from the music area of the church.
